I can’t explain how Santa can navigate himself down a chimney without falling on his jolly big butt. But if he were a squirrel, then I’d have no trouble believing he could stealthily ease himself down to the fireplace.
This week’s Saturday Squirrel is giving a clinic on how to sneak down a vertical surface without slipping or waking up the kiddies. He looks so determined, I almost wish I had some milk and acorns for him when he got to the bottom…
Have a great weekend and a Merry Christmas from The Nest!
Wishing you a very Merry Christmas! 🙂
Thank you, and hope yours was great as well!
Merry Christmas! ⛄️
Thank you, and Happy Boxing Day!
Maybe… just maybe,,, Santa is a squirrel 😮
Which would be why people put up trees indoors to attract him…
They are masters of the downward direction – I’m sure Santa attends their “How To” clinic for a refresher course every year!
Pam
And I’ll bet he always falls on his beard during the training exercises…
I’m always amazed when I see them on the straight down vertical–they look like they’re defying gravity! Hope you had a Merry Christmas!
They defy gravity when their fat butts sit on some skinny little twig and don’t even bend it, let alone break it! I’m pretty sure squirrels are exempt to physics…
I saw one in a tree the other day hanging almost upside down on the skinniest branch–it stayed there for several minutes and I was worried it was stuck, but no–it flipped around and ran back to the trunk then leapt into a neighbouring tree. Squirrel parkour!
We hope you, the squirrels and all those who live on the Shelf had a marvy Christmas. 🎄
