He needs an acorn! We have one squirrel now – scurries across the open space in our yard to eat the fallen seed and cracked corn I leave out. Then he takes a drink from the bird feeder. One-stop restaurant.
There’s no shortage of eatables around here for him! I guess he can’t have a snack on the job, though…
It’s about time they started earning their keep. 😉
If they really want to earn their keep, they need to learn to scare the swarms of grackles away!

He looks harmless enough but I wouldn’t want his claws on my face if I ignored his challenge. He might be like that bunny rabbit in Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
I am vaguely familiar with that bunny rabbit, and yes, any crusaders who flaunt his authority may be in for a big surprise…
