I’m not sure what’s going on here. Maybe one squirrel is sharing the location of his secret nut stash with a good friend. Perhaps there’s some playful ear nibbling. Or even a little sciurine hanky panky. Maybe it’s a good thing some camera blur had smudged out their identities…
Whatever the case, this week’s Saturday Squirrels are getting along quite handsomely… a welcome sight from the usual bickering and fighting that goes on between the little furballs.
Have a great weekend everyone!
This reminds me of an extremely tacky ceramic monstrosity my SIL had hammered into a tree. The real squirrels avoided it like the plague.
🤣
I can only imagine! There must be pictures of it…
Somewhere….
Togetherness amongst the Sciuridae…seems quite a bit odd…unless maybe they just started going steady. Stay cool this weekend. Heat Dome coming your way soon.
Not unless the weather guessers are wrong. For summer, the next 7 days are all pretty good except for 94 on Monday. With four days off coming up and hopefully decent weather…. hopefully I’ll finally get some fresh squirrel pics for your Saturday hooligan fix!
That’s very cute!
Yes it is! One of my few pics of squirrels not trying to kill each other…
The same thing is going on at my house. They’re just so cute.
I have a funny squirrel story…a typical squirrel story for you. My daughter lives in Long Beach, CA in one of those cute little old Southern California basic 1930s small places with a shared yard with a lot of trees – anyway she is upstairs. Someone a few complexes down the street is feeding the squirrels peanuts so her plants on her deck are full of peanuts. FULL. The squirrels beg her boyfriend for treats.
What adorable and well trained squirrels!
Awww! I keep looking at them and my brain wants to believe they’re forming a heart…then I slapped myself and snapped out of it. Lol. Mona
It does almost look like a heart!
Aw, squirrel courting fun. He’ll soon be showing her his nuts…
Out in full view of everyone, no doubt…
I think we are watching love in bloom……and considering that kind of love is in short supply the world over we should perhaps take it as a sign of things to come? I hope?
Pam
I think the squirrels are showing us that love is all over the place, just not in the places people look for it…
And yes – that’s the truth……!
Baby squirrels to arrive soon.
The pic’s a year old, so those babies might already have babies…
