Heeeeeeey, that looks GOOD!
Humans aren’t the only species with a taste for junk food. If you’ve ever owned a pet, you know they’ll happily snap up whatever unhealthy snacks you happen to drop on the floor. Squirrels apparently love scarfing down people food as well… whether it be a steak, a slice of pizza, or that inedible cheese product gloop they put in those packages of crackers. Yes, the squirrels who inhabit our local park are lucky enough to get “treated” often to the bits and pieces of food that visitors drop or throw away. And it looks like one of them has just found a discarded plastic wrapper that contains some kind of chocolaty goop caked on the inside of it.
Will this week’s Saturday Squirrel indulge in this decadent delicacy?

Well, he’d hardly be getting featured on my blog had he passed up the opportunity to be doing cute little squirrel things…
I hope it tastes as good as it smells!

As for squirrels eating anything they can get their grubby little fingers on, I’m convinced they are like the cockroach of mammals. They’ll eat anything and thrive doing so. Astounding adaptation! Have a good weekend.

Happy Birthday Ody! I’d say that plastic wrapper thing Mr. Squirrel is getting his chocolate fix from was wrapped around an ice cream done. Yep – that’s my guess. Whatever it is/was it was a big hit with him anyway.
