No, you haven’t stumbled onto the Squirrels Gone Wild website. Hear me out!
We’re so used to seeing squirrels with “flexible” tails that, when not lying completely flat behind them, have at least some trace of a curve in them. Think of the classic squirrel profile and that question mark shaped tail.
So it’s kind of unnatural to see a squirrel with their tail in a more raised position and almost rigidly straight. Geez, that squirrel in the photo above could poke someone’s eye out with that tail! What’s the deal, buddy? You look like you need to relax a bit…
Yeesh! Sorry I asked, and invaded your privacy apparently. Next time, it’d be less awkward to say you just had your tail starched for a fancy event…
This week’s Saturday Squirrel is certainly bright eyed, and maybe just a bit TOO bushy tailed…
Have a great weekend everyone!
Around here that is known as a Cooper’s Hawk handle. 😈
Luckily, a squirrel’s tail is 99% fur, so chances are they’ll just grab a talon’s worth of fuzz!
Maybe he was just happy to see you.
🤣
I wish most squirrels were happy to see me, I’d get better photos!
I bet he’s popular with the chicks!
Pam
Tail size matters…
Handy to dust those hard to reach corners I guess…
Another reason for a lady squirrel to want him around the house…
Shwing!
Ha!
🤣🤣
