When I began this countdown of my Top 50 Saturday Squirrels of All Time, I clarified right away that this wasn’t just going to be a list of my favorite individual squirrel photos. This was a countdown of my favorite squirrels I’ve encountered over the first ten years of 
this peculiar hobby.
But there would still be exceptions, and this was one of those single-shot squirrels that stole the show for me and warranted inclusion among the more comprehensive portfolios of his competition. A squirrel with a big ol’ smile on his face is always a winner. But having him doing that while sitting on a branch in front of a tree hollow while sporting a down home inviting look?
It may have been only one picture, but it was pure gold and more than worthy of being my 38th favorite Saturday Squirrel! You may not be able to squeeze into that tiny hole, but that’s not going to stop this proud nest-owner from welcoming you to his humble abode…
