Freeze Frame

The cold never bothered him anyway.

It’s WAY TOO COLD to be trying to get any squirrel pics in our latest Arctic blast that swept through Thursday.  While it only left behind a little snow, it brought temperatures down below zero (F!) and with dangerous wind chills as low as -30, it’s not the time to be opening doors and windows to capture the poor little guys freezing their nuts off.

So here’s a very fluffy squirrel making due after the snow/cold that blew through on Groundhog Day earlier this year.  As cute as that snow is on his nose, I’m sure he’d rather have it brushed off… but his paws are busy right now stuffing his face with corn.

Here’s hoping all of the Saturday Squirrels across the North American continent manage to stay warm in Jack Frost’s icebox this week…

Have a great weekend everyone!

It’s freezing here too–makes me wonder if the squirrels have their own Squirrel Almanac that told them in the fall to start getting their winter weight on–remember my chunky little monkeys?

  6. Hoping your Christmas was filled with warmth and good cheer. Stay safe and may the Arctic blast be history soon.

  7. So this one was also in my SPAM file…..what’s with that??!! Anyway, I felt sorry for all the critters out in this ridiculous winter weather but this guy seems to be happy he scored some corn. Good for him!
