Folsom Prison Blues

Doing hard time.

“Hey, guards!  Lemme out of here!  You can’t keep me locked up in this dirty prison!  I’m innocent, I tell you!!!!”

Alas, this poor squirrel has found out the hard way what a life of crime can lead to.  Maybe with good behavior and a little adorable act with the parole board, he might get out in fifteen years…

Until then, we advise this week’s incarcerated Saturday Squirrel to reform his act, and not drop the soap….

Have a great weekend everyone!

  1. I hope that prison he’s in doesn’t have a squad of blood-thirsty otters around – the squirrel would make a great hors d’oeuvre!

I’ve never met a fence yet that could hold a determined squirrel.
    A prison break is imminent.

I’ll bet he climbed that fence in a moment! One of my squirrels actually stayed around today when I came out with the peanuts. Cheeky thing! He’s getting brave.

Took this years ago in an Oregon backyard. We’d seen this behavior many times. Note how chewed up the foam football has become. At times there would be two of them
    dueling for the ball. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zzTP39qqeVQ

  5. Did he go through or over? So cute.

It’s such a shame when good squirrels go bad…

    I hope he’s allowed conjugal visits 😉

Awwww. You should name him Johnny.

  9. I think your pic has lots of holes in it when it comes to justice. 😈
