If I honestly have to explain to you why this particular squirrel is ranked so high in my Top 
50 Saturday Squirrels of All Time countdown…… all I can ask is why do you even bother reading my blog? And do you have a soul?
This is one of the best single photos I’ve ever gotten of a squirrel, and this cutie’s adorable face has been the background on my computer for a while now. So what kept such a happy and handsome face from being ranked even higher? Well, it IS just one picture and one magical look…. and pretty much all of the rest of the squirrels you’ll see in this cavalcade of cuteness have a story told over multiples pictures.
But if you’re having a down day, bookmark this photo and for a moment at least, forget about all of the problems in your world and just smile….

I like your blog, I do have a soul my soul is happy when I see squirrels and wood pigeons and tiny birbs. I like how small wild animals make me feel like, hey this world, not so bad.
I have new squirrels pics every Saturday, and the very best on Tuesdays until this countdown ends in about four months. I’ve been photographing squirrels for over a decade now, and despite all the crazy looks I get, catching their antics never fails to make me as happy as this little guy is…

We frequently sit outside on the patio in the morning and watch our squirrels – six of them – cavort and amuse us. I think it’s a family – there were originally two and there are now four that look very young.
Ok, I’ll admit…that is a pretty cute face. Unlike the monster that continues to raid the trash bins every day.
