At least I don’t have the Kraken in my ditch…

For this week’s Saturday Squirrel, here’s a fun squirrel photograph from my archives!  Does it remind you of another famous picture?

It’s probably had its fill of squirrels.

I wonder how much The National Enquirer would pay me for my rare photograph of the Loch Ness Squirrel?  I don’t need to let them know I just happened to shoot the tail end of one of my backyard buddies as he was preparing to navigate across the ditch that separates my yard from the neighbor’s.  As has been the case for most of this year, the ditch was full of water, so the only way across was to make a brief swim for it.  Yes, squirrels can swim… not as well as they can scamper and hop through the treetops, but they can manage.
