I posted the picture I took of this guy Monday morning after I was floored that I finally got a really great picture of one of my backyard squirrels. He was a huge hit with all of my squirrel fans, and even my Mom. As I mentioned, I took a whole bunch of pictures that morning, including quite a few of this guy both before and after this magic photo was snapped. So for today’s Saturday Squirrel, I figured I’d show some of the other not-as-great-but-still-cool pictures I got of the “Who Me?” Squirrel. Even the eleven new pictures I’m about to present in this post only account for less than half of the total I took starting from the time he climbed onto this branch to the time he had enough of my insanity and scurried back down the tree.

This was the photo I took immediately after the one where he gave me the “Who Me?” gesture. You can see he still has his left paw up to his chest, but is now looking up and to his left…
I can’t humor him much longer Ralph… hurry it up with those acorns!

very nice sequence of a very silly situation made very important by great photography.
I was trying so hard to tell the story, that I forgot to mention the lesson that went with it that getting that one golden shot really is lightning in a bottle. I think I counted 30 pictures I took just of this squirrel, and I got about 20 duds, 9 passable, and 1 memorable….
