I’ve made it back from my brief excursion to Kansas City, and there’s nothing I want to do more right now than just hit the sack and catch up on all the sleep I’ve missed. But I have a Saturday obligation here to provide you with a squirrel, and I would hate to disappoint
everyone! So I dug through my archives and found the first cute squirrel pic I hadn’t posted here yet to give the honor of this week’s Saturday Squirrel to. Unfortunately, it’s from last Fall, and I’d already deleted the original file for this shot off my computer… thus why I can’t crop from that to get a good closeup of him like I normally would. But as you can still see, he’s standing up and shouting to the world how great it is to be a squirrel, and even better now that he’s been made world famous all because I’m too lazy to come up with something better today….
EDITED 5/26: Thanks to Lynda from Life on the Farmlet who noticed that the pictured squirrel is actually a female! A closer look reveals she is indeed showing off nursing teats!
With the next 6 days to myself, I should be loaded with good ideas for blog posts… and I promise to catch up on what I’ve missed on your sites the past few days very soon…
Have a great weekend everyone!

Enjoy your weekend too!
Thanks!

I just came back from Alaska, THE most beautiful state in the U.S. of A.
Never been there myself, but I will not argue with you. Many I know who’ve been there agree with that assessment!
Hello, Evil Squirrel, glad you are back safely from your travels. I’m not sure how to break this to you, and I may very well be wrong (it wouldn’t be the first time!) but…
I think your squirrel is a she! Look a bit closer and it will be revealed, that she had been nursing.
OMG! That is an awesome catch!!! Now I really wish I had the higher resolution original….
I just use the royal “he” when referring to my squirrels because I figured I’d never be able to spot gender details on one… but thanks for the lesson in detail! I will edit that into the post!
