Rather than spend the free time I had today trying to dredge up an idea to post about, I instead came up with an idea for improving my blog that I can’t believe I hadn’t bothered to do yet. Many blogs that run regular features have a neat little icon that goes with each post to help better identify the series that post is a part of. Well, not counting my comic, I’m now up to four regular series I contribute to on this blog, and quite often I find when I write a post for one of these features, I conveniently forget to even mention what series it is a part of!
I’d also forget my ass if it wasn’t attached to me…
Well, no more, because I spent the last few hours creating four new logos that will accompany the regular series I run here! I’ve retroactively added them to all of my old posts, and will (hopefully) remember to add them to all future posts. If you want to see them all, I have updated my About The Nest page that’s linked to my header, but here’s a little peek at one of them since I want to talk a little about it…

While I have a wide selection of my own squirrel pictures at my disposal for use in my Saturday Squirrel posts, I’ve had a few people tell me how they are itching for a chance to have one of their own photos featured in a Saturday post. Well, if that describes you, now is your chance to make a squirrel you know famous! If you have any squirrel photos you’ve taken that you would like to have considered for a future Saturday Squirrel post, please feel free to submit them, along with some backstory about the picture(s) for the sake of content, to my email address which you will find in the Contact Me link under my header. If I choose to feature one or more of your pictures for a Saturday Squirrel post, you will of course be duly credited for your photo, and a link to your blog will be provided in the write-up! I’d like to make about one SS post per month a reader contribution. So if you happen to come across a squirrel out there…. shoot it!

We have several cutie squirrels in our yard and woods that make daily appearances – I’ll do my best to get some photos (and then send ’em your way!) Love the new logos!

I am trying to get a good picture of my squirrel, he sits on the branch and chatters all the time, usually cussing at my dog..I should try and get a video of it, so cute…I even put a few peanuts out there so he will come down lower. 🙂
Maybe you should try leaving out some vodka instead…. 😉
