Fine Art For Sale!

March hasn’t exactly come in like a lion over here at the Nest.  I’ve introduced most of the characters I can devote an entire post to, and the ideas and time for other kinds of posts just haven’t been coming to me.  Well, I’m a little laid up as of now on an extended “weekend” thanks to my leg preventing me from doing the walking required at work, so I thought this would be a good time to actually use this blog for the very purpose I set it up…. to promote my store!  The new designs have been coming slowly but surely, and the store is starting to fill up with a variety of different graphics.  I thought I’d share some of my favorites I’ve added to the store recently in a (lame) attempt to attract more business…

If you haven’t visited my CafePress store lately, you can get there via two links on this Blog.  There is a page under the header that says “ES’s Shop” which has a link, as well as a link to the occasional discount coupon CP will offer up for their individual stores (The full banner can be found on my store’s webpage).  And the easiest way to get to my store is by just clicking on Atomic ES to the right there.  Go ahead, act like you’re nuking him….

Now that I’ve learned how to add a watermark to my designs, I feel comfortable sharing some of my more elaborate ones here.  While it is highly unlikely anyone would want to steal my garbage I draw, you never know and it’s always better to be safe than sorry…

Yeehaw!

Ride 'em cowgirl!

This is my newest addition that I just completed this morning.  It’s based on an avatar I created a few days ago that would require several paragraphs of explanation for the unenlightened to even kinda understand.  Let’s just say that the orange kitty atop Rainbow Donkey in the design is the character for one of my forum friend’s 7 year old daughter, who like many girls her age is into the whole princess, unicorn, and everything pink thing.  While this design was made with her in mind, it has universal appeal that would make it a popular design for anyone who could appreciate my artistic style. This design, like many I have done that can’t be classified under one of the main character sections, can be found in my Squirrels, Squirrels, Squirrels area of my store.

And while we’re on the subject of this picture, here’s another idea I’ve come up with that I’ve devoted its own section to….

Pretty colors!

Who didn't love playing with their Lite Brite in the 1980's?

Using Photoshop’s many little toys, I discovered how to turn my pictures into neat little glowing neon designs!  I offer these in the section marked Neon Art on a variety of different black garments…

Yank my chain

The dog wants to go for a walk...

I had mentioned in a recent post that Skanki had in fact worked her way into a design in my store, and here it is!  This was inspired by the radio lottery I play every time I go on a road trip since I’m too cheap to spring for satellite radio.  I came across a radio station somewhere east of Tulsa, OK that was playing Korn’s “Freak on a Leash”, and this image of the always dignified Skanki Skankova sprung into mind as I was driving 70 mph down the tollway.  I think I like the addition of Skanki despite her similarities to MBRS due to the fact that I could never desecrate such a legendary character of mine as the lovely redheaded squirrel as I have here, but I can feel free to throw all caution to the wind with my new borzoi toy.  This design can be found in the Squirrels, Squirrels, Squirrels section…

Happy!

Knowing Hottie, that's got to be the sunrise rather than the sunset...

This was the picture that launched my store… no, really!  I drew this last November planning to send the real-life Hottie something with it printed on it, and lo and behold what do I find when I go to CafePress…. the storeowner option!  It was the first drawing I enhanced using Photoshop and the result is so pleasingly awesome!  This is the only large-scale design currently in the Hottie folder in my store, but with this one already in the bank, is there need for another?  Smile, you know you want to….

Don't mess with me!

This can's for you...

This drawing was suggested by the real Devil Kitty herself, and dates back to….. ugh, OK, I’ll link to it…. this cringe-worthy old portrait that was literally the 8th computer image I ever drew.  As I mentioned in my post on her a few weeks ago, DK takes no crap from anyone, and buys her Diet Whoopazz by the case.  This design can be found in DK’s own personal section in my store…

Ick!

Simple, yet effective

This has surprisingly been one of my most popular designs.  I didn’t know Sprotsie Baby had the mass appeal some of my other characters seemed to have, but perhaps the success of this drawing can be found in the message itself.  Who doesn’t have a “mangy rodent” or two in their lives that they’d like to tell to get lost?  This design can be found in Sprotsie Baby’s section in my store…

Finally, I’d like to show off my zodiac series I am working on….

The ram

No, it isn't an ad for McDonalds.

This is the Aries design.  I drew a zodiac series a couple years ago, and you may remember some of those pictures I have posted already in this blog in the relevant character intro post.  Here is the original Aries image I drew, and you can see how I used those previous pictures as the basis for the designs I created for my store.  Odyssey, a real life Aries, is featured as the sign’s representative character.  So far, I have only done these for the first four signs of the zodiac (Aries, Taurus, Gemini, and Cancer), so those of you winter babies may be in for a bit of a wait…. but I am determined to finish the series by the start of summer.  The zodiac designs can be found in the Zodiac section with Madame MBRS as the icon…

And this is just a small sampling of what can be found over in the ESN Store.  Go and see for yourself what can be found over there, and if you choose to buy anything, I thank you ever so much for your support!
