Yes, it’s that time again. Time for me to forget all those bad things I say about blogging awards, suck it up, and recognize some pretty nifty things my fellow bloggers have bestowed upon me because I’m so special, my name should be Ed.
First to my twin sister from a different mister, Merbear, who created The Loyal Reader Award to recognize those who read her deep thoughts, taboo topics, and just plain funny shit every day. The best awards don’t have rules that make you jump through more hoops than the players of Midnight Madness, and this one is pretty easy. Thanks Merby for thinking of your squirrely friend!
The Loyal Reader Award.
This award is given to the faithful and loyal readers who rarely miss a post. True through thick and thin, they are there to lend a supportive word or a cyber hug. The Loyal Reader Award was created to show that you really do treasure each and every individual relationship formed here on WordPress.
The rules are simple, because simple is good.
1. Display the award on your blog.
2. Thank the person who sent it to you.
3. Answer a rhetorical question of the authors choosing.
4. Send on the award to everyone you consider a loyal reader.
Since I am my own most loyal reader (editing constantly) , it is only fair that I answer my own rhetorical question for my nominee’s as well.
If you were on a deserted island, how would you survive?
There we go, all the hard work is done! Now to nominate my own true blue, loyalest readers. Those who like and/or comment on the majority of my posts day in and day out… it wouldn’t be as fun putting this all together without you!
Of course, Merby herself is one of my loyalest readers… so I would be remiss not to nominate her!
And speaking of Kira, she composed her own awards post yesterday called The Squirelies, which was led off with this picture which would make a totally adorable badge for any award!
Kira included The Nest among her first group of blogs to receive a Squirrel Spotlight Award! Of course, it was the shared fondness for sciurine critters that helped me net this extreme honor, and it’s all the more rewarding to be liked by a fellow squirrel aficionado. Since Kira proclaims herself to be a Ninja Squirrel Wrangler in the header on her blog, I drew up this little picture for her to show my appreciation for being featured in the Squirrel Spotlight…
Thank you very much Kira and Merby for bestowing these honors on me!
