Wednesday may be in the middle of your week… but here at The Nest, Wednesday is also in the middle of nowhere. Who knows where we’ll end up journeying today with another completely scattershot exercise we call Random Image Inspiration! Randomator, do some randomating…
39, 80, 75, 34
The 39th post in my Reader was this one by Beth
The 80th word in that post is “left”
The 75th word in that post is “just”
Putting “left just” into Google Images brought this up as the 34th result…
That’s perfect, because I don’t have a lot of time this morning, and didn’t want to have to come back to this later in the day. It’s almost Christmas/winter vacation for the brats kids, so I’m sure the cool kids who actually know their music history will soon be singing along to a little Alice. Today’s edition of RII will just be a great rock and roll earworm….
And I won’t dare say it’s better, but I kinda like the version by Krokus that got played a lot on VH-1 Classic back in the day….
Random Image Inspiration is out……. ’til next Wednesday.
love it!!!!!
Good song! If I remember right, it was my sister’s graduating class song. 🙂
Great song! Takes me back, I think they should re-write it for adults. Like work’s out forever…wait that would be retirement…..I’m okay with that! lol
MUCH better version by Krokus (who I’ve never heard of). More depth, better EVERYTHING.
Pam
They were a fringe metal band with a singer whose hair was bad even by hair band standards. But they did a great job covering this song…
Oh yes, the Krokus version is waaay cooler. #rockon
It has a different kick to it. And the lead singer looks even scarier than Alice does…
And that’s going some.
I still prefer the original, but Krock-pot or whatever did a good job! I had a look on Wiki – The Alice Cooper Band released it in 1972! I had no idea they were around in the olden days…
