Mmmmmm, getting closer! I smell peanut! I smell peanut! I smell…. ugh, toejam!
Remember Nutty? He got his Saturday in The Nest’s spotlight last June after Merby sent a photo and video of her fuzzy tailed neighbor to my email. Well, here’s the cutest squirrel in all of Ohio once again sneaking around on Merby’s patio looking for some peanuts that were placed out for his consumption. I know full well that if you throw some nuts in the yard, the squirrels will come… and they will find them. Maybe Nutty could use a little help here, though…. someone tell him if he is getting warmer or colder! He looks like he’s starving!

It is a treat to see Nutty again. I am pleased dear merby puts out peanuts for him. We have very sweet possums around here, could we send a possum considering we don’t have squirrels?

I saw a squirrel at work run by with a whole saltine cracker. Sadly, I did not have my phone out, but I will the next time 🙂

For a moment I thought Nutty was a rodent (I know its all the same family ! ) until I noticed the bushy tail over the bars 🙂

We are in a squirrel dearth right now, otherwise I’d totally be up for this. However, when they reappear, I’ll be waiting, with my camera.
Hopefully they return like the swallows to Capistrano…
I hope so. They are very amusing to watch as they steal the food from the bird feeders.
