I had a to a lot of digging through my old squirrel photo archives during the process of creating my new countdown… and since due to a lot of shitty weather we’ve had this Spring I haven’t been getting many new squirrel photos at all, I was inspired to look for a few hidden gems from the past that never got their taste of Saturday Squirrel glory before. Like the shot of this cute little guy. My blog’s old timers may remember Foxy, the squirrel that was a common visitor to my yard in late 2013/early 2014. I’ve seen a number of squirrels with blonde tails before, but Foxy’s miscolored wagger was damn near a bright orange that made him absolutely unmistakable from the rest of the critters in my hood…
Cute little fellow, he was. I have a feeling he’ll turn up somewhere in the photo countdown, don’t you?
Have a great weekend everyone!
Very colorful – he even has some tinges of blonde in his body fur to highlight the tail – this guy is definitely on the cutting edge of fashion!
Pam
He must spend a fortune at his furdresser on coloring…
Doesn’t he know it will make his hair fall out with all those hair coloring treatments? Gosh – a bald palomino as a mascot…..kinda sends a weird message to the crowd I should think.
Looks like Clairol to me. A bottled-brush and dyed tail. Go figure!
The store must have been out of purple…
He is a beauty. I have a soft touch for redheads 🙂
I think he wanted to be a red squirrel. Well, who would really desire to be grey?
Squee.
Gorgeous little thing! Love the photo. Awaiting more of your don’t like this music posts!
The hate countdown ended back in April. I’m doing novelty songs now, and that one will pick up tomorrow.,.
Yes, Foxy! Quite a distinctive auburn tail! There’s a “Ginger” squirrel; if I ever saw one! 👔
He might even have freckles underneath all the fur….
Aw, look at that little face 🙂
It’s so cute. You’d never guess he’s a ruthless, vicious, merciless predator….
OK, he’s not….
So cute! And so amazing, at least to my squirrel-watching eyes. I’ve never seen anything like that around here, or any of the places I’ve been.
