I only put this photo up on my blog last year because it showed the mostly total (and mostly cloudy) solar eclipse we were treated to as a funny looking “cat claw” in the sky. It took one of my readers, namely Phenny from Easy Blog, to notice the amazingly coincidental shape that was being made by the cloud cover that was ruining my show. Do you see the profile of a chubby, smiling squirrel on the left hand side of this picture? Here, let me trace it out a bit for you….

I had that earworm going through my head while making this post (It was one of my Dad’s favorite songs)…
I remember that……..but know what? Just now I was looking at the photo again and I can see Santa Claus on the left side too – his mouth is open in a smile and he’s got his hat on and his long white beard and hair…….and no – before you ask – I have not had a morning martini!

It’s like an inkblot test, isn’t it? Who knows what all is hiding in that soupy sky? I don’t see Santa, but I didn’t see the squirrel until Phenny sent me a tracing. Once I saw it, I’m sure I’d never unsee it…

Meanwhile, just to the top right of the squirrel’s head is the face of doom. He had outstretched arms and a squirrel growing out of his shoulder.
I should have posted this as a challenge to see what all weird things other people can find in this mess…
I didn’t see it until you traced it… but damn. That’s pretty cool!
It’s like one of those optical illusions where you can’t tell the wine glass is actually two people kissing until someones says, “Look! It’s two people kissing!” Then you never see it as a wine glass again…

Awesome! Fun to find shapes in the clouds. I can also see a lady’s face looking down, and the moon crescent is her shiny earring. 🙂
