The Art Critic

I’ve seen Biskit draw better with the poop in the litterbox…

With the sciurine strike still in full swing, I once again turn to Ody for my weekly Saturday sqturday squirrel logocute critter picture.  This picture even gives a glimpse behind the scenes at The Nest as Ody watches me draw the sketch for this past Thursday’s comic.  Let there be no doubt Ody likes to watch me draw, whether it be at my combination drawing board/kitchen table or at the computer desk.  I’m sure if he could talk, he’d have a few choice words at some of my pathetic scribbles…

I find it interesting though that Ody always seems to know when I’m rendering the character that gave him his name.  You can see a couple inked sketches of Odyssey and Hooly on the paper already… we know who Ody is rooting for.

The rooftop dinner is still one of my favorite scenes I created…

Of the 23 framed portraits I made for some of my online friends, this was the only one Ody was draped over my arm for the entire drawing of.  Luckily at the time, he was still small enough not to interfere with the intense coordination it takes to move a mouse to draw shapes on a computer screen.  When he decides to plop himself on my arm these days, I can pretty much forget using the computer until I pick him up and throw him towards the door gently let him know I need my arm back.

cute kitty

You love me, and you know it!!!!

  3. First,I would like to thank you for stopping by my blog. Then I want to tell you that I have thoroughly enjoyed exploring your blog and will look forward to my weekly Evil Squirrel/Robbie Raccoon comic installment! While I’m not always crazy about some things; I think those of the sciurine persuasion are adorable and have always been one to cater to them in my neighborhood.
