My Art Will Go On

titanic squirrels

At the suggestion of Merby, here’s the second entry in what will (at least for now) be my new regular Tuesday feature, Draw Me A Picture!  She wanted to see “my critters do the draw me a pictureTitanic thing,” so here we have Evil Squirrel and the very underused Angel playing king of the world on history’s most infamous unsinkable ship.  ES looks a bit awkward in this one because I had to make him so tall to be looking over Angel’s shoulder… and I normally draw him a tad smaller than most of my characters!

So anyway, like I said, this will be my new Tuesday thing.  I’m clearing the board from last week and inviting everyone to submit any and all suggestions for what they would like me to draw via the contact form that can be found in DMAP’s newly created page, which can always be found under the Regular Features tab in my header (I’ll also eventually include an easier link to it in my sidebar somewhere).  Go ahead everyone and inspire me!

  1. OMG. That is soooooooo darling. But now I’ve got an ear worm.

  2. I love it… and they look much cuter than that Kate and Leo :o)… and I like the name of the captain… no wonder that the movie-ship had bad luck with a captain named smith :o)

    • Well, Capt. Smith’s accident only cost about a thousand people their lives. Capt. Hazelwood ruined half of the ocean and wildlife around Alaska… and all because he had a few too many before setting sail with a tanker full of oil.

That penguin’s thinking “they’ve got some guts, sailing so close to this massive jagged ice berg” 🙂

I love it. That might actually be a movie that I could give 3 hours of my life too. Snorts with piggy laughter. I”m off now to submit a suggestion… you know it’s going to be good. HA! XOXO – Bacon

That is some kind of awesome!! Thanks for using my suggestion! I am honored and shit!

  6. Are you sure that was the “Titanic thing” she was talking about? Cause they are naked, but I thought it involved art.

  7. ody & biskit !!! yur dad did a grate job with thiz one !! ☺☺

So cute – I love everything about it! If it weren’t for the worried expression on his face, ES would look very super hero like the way he’s standing so tall.

    • About that worried expression… I wanted it to be clear that ES had spied the impending chunk of ice, but it kinda looks like he’s more worried Angel is going to fall into the ocean. Now that is very heroic (And unlike someone who wouldn’t think twice about chucking Buster in the icy water!)

  9. I’m so glad you decided to do this. I have loved all your critters since the beginning, so I’m delighted I will get to see more of them. What could possible go wrong?

P.S. I hate that song too. It’s SOOO sappy.

    • That song, like just about everything else Celine Dion did, just flat out sucks. I’ll bet she’s glad Justin Bieber came along to take her mantle as the most hated musician from Canada…

Awesome title. I’m glad your art (and heart) will go on. And the Titanic scene recreated, Evil Squirrel style, is pretty awesome too. 😛

I love that movie. I just cried and cried and howled and wailed. It was sooo much fun. ES and Angel are doing it perfectly. ❤
