Being born in the mid-70’s, I came along at just the right time to be raised on MTV. Remember the golden age of music videos? If you weren’t around for the 80’s, you probably have no idea about many of these music videos, because you can hardly find current music videos on TV anymore, let alone the masterpieces that defined an era.
While I could do plenty of reminiscing about my favorites and ranting about the music channels moving on from the video era (Not even VH1 Classic, a channel that was created solely for the purpose of putting classic music videos back on the air, really shows videos anymore), that’s not the purpose of this post. I run a lyrics game every winter over on my other message board, and I always try to work in at least one game where my artwork gives the clues. Today I posted a game where I re-created a scene ES-style from a classic 80’s video, with the players trying to figure out the song and artist that go along with that video. While I will not post those pics over here until tomorrow (to keep the players from being potentially spoiled), I will share the images I created for the first music video-themed game I put up back in 2010, which all feature MBRS in a starring role. You have fair warning that the artwork is 3 years old, so it’s not up to my current quality…. but see if you can figure out which music videos are being portrayed in the following ES pictures:
I’ll post the answers, along with the pictures from the game I created this year, tomorrow…

Those Lee Press on Nails never stayed on. Sigh. 😉
In honour of the grammys?
LOL, no! Probably the last time I watched the Grammys, Michael Jackson was cleaning house thanks to Thriller (Yes, it’s been THAT long)….
Thriller, huh? It has been a while 🙂
I agree with the 4 merbear74 said! and will add 2= summer time girls? 5= definitely that fire song! 9= possibly something about a jukebox! 🙂
Number 9 has to be The Jukebox song by the flirts!
It isn’t, but I LOVE that song!!!!
I’ll probably answer these on Friday, and maybe put up the other set I had…
Ha Ha. I thought he was being advised to “Not put another dime in the Jute Box!” Yes you definitely have to put in the answers. Especially loved “Papa don’t Preach” and “Walk like an Egyptian”. Even The Boy (born in 2000) picked it.
