Can’t a squirrel enjoy a sandwich without everyone staring?

Yesterday, Merbear was kind enough to put up a post singing the praises of my blog to her wider audience.  I was quite honored, and extremely grateful for the positive recommendation…. and a part of me feels like I need to pay that kindness forward to another blogger who could use an additional audience.  I was already thinking of doing a shoutout to a certain blog I follow even before the surprise from Merby, and now is the perfect time to make that happen!

If you’ve made it this far into the post without wondering what in the hell is the deal with that photo I led off with, then you must be reading this post in braille.  There is a blog I have been keeping tabs on now for several months that is dedicated to nothing but cool pictures and other stuff about squirrels…. and it seems to be criminally neglected in the followship department.  If you really love squirrels (and if you’ve hung around here long enough, more than likely you do…. unless your name is Sparky Spitfire) , then I have a blog that you are really going to love!

Livy Robertson’s awesome blog Squirrel Sciuridae is chock full of fun squirrelly stuff!  There are many great squirrel pictures posted there that I have never seen before (and that’s saying something, because I’ve seen a lot)…. including Baguette Squirrel above.  That is maybe my favorite sciurine picture of all time…

Well, at least among pictures I didn’t draw myself…
