Art Imitates Art

I was reading the newspaper that was on my table in the break room at work Friday night, and had to laugh when I came to this picture of an art piece done by a local high school student.  The caption pretty much says it all when it comes to this interesting work of art.  I thought I was being quirky and outrageous when I drew this comic almost a year ago, but apparently, I was just channeling the new reality!  Scary!

Don’t worry, no matter how insane things get in the future, you will never have to have a smartphone to be able to fully enjoy any of my artwork here at The Nest…

Hey!!! Now how am I supposed to appreciate art?

Ha! You, my friend, are ahead of your time. And I mean that in the very best of ways. (Of course, now I’m sitting here thinking I need to get one of these “scanner app thingies” — which is a very technical term, mind you — on my phone. Because I’m wondering what all I am missing out on! o.o)
