A shoutout in next week’s comic to the first person who can name which 80’s movie inspired the Buster and Rainbow Donkey panel!

I have no idea…Revenge of the nerds?
Nice try. I haven’t seen that in ages…
Shit…Pretty Woman?
Nope, way too famous!
All I could think of is Some Kind of Wonderful and I KNOW that’s not right.
Well, I know that ain’t right because I’ve never heard of it before! 😉
Honestly, I don’t even know if that’s the name of the movie lol It is however the name of the song from the movie 😉
Snorts – WOW – I’ve missed your sense of humor. Hannah monitored my computer surfing like you wouldn’t believe! XOXO – Bacon
That’s probably a good thing given my post this past Sunday! 🙂
uh – I’m off to see what it was about – snorts. The computer monitor is gone now – XOXO – Bacon
Wow, um, Exit to Eden? But I think that was in the 90s.
I’m not sure when it was, but that’s not it either. It’ll be interesting to see if anyone comes up with it at all…
Is the rainbow clown wig more important as a clue or the assless chaps?
Both are clues in a way if you know the movie and the scene it references. At lunch today, my Mom showed the comic to my Dad, and he guessed the correct movie right away…. then again, I knew he would because we watched the piece of dreck a lot back in the day…
Wow, something you watched a lot with your dad and the possum is reading a skin mag – damn, son.
My preverted sense of humor was honed at an early age…
The movie itself is not preverted… just the one scene, which also happens to be the best scene in the movie….
Funny how a lot of stuff that came out of the 80s was like that. 🙂 Unless of course it has John Cusack in it – that man can do no wrong.
You are so terribly sick and twisted and of course, that’s just one of the many reasons I adore you! You had me at assless chaps! As far as my guess about the movie, “Desperately Seeking Susan” and yes, that’s my final answer.
Wait, can I phone a friend?
You can phone a Governor, Senator, or Pastor….
The Malibu Bikini Shop?
Hey, I did some serious google research.
Nice try, but incorrect.
Working Girl?
Nope, this could prove to be one that goes over all of my readers’ heads!
A summation, and maybe a clue or two for anyone who comes back and reads this…
The movie is an 80’s comedy…. definitely not on the A or even B list of well known movies, but it was shown a lot on HBO back in the day. It stars two comic actors who worked together on the same TV show before hitting the big screen. The actor whose role is portrayed by Rainbow Donkey is on the A-list of well known 80’s comedy movie stars….
My guess is that this will be like one of my Flashback Friday posts on TV shows…. when the answer is finally revealed, maybe a couple of you will say, “Oh, yeah, I remember that.” The rest of you will wonder what in the hell I was watching when I was younger…
Ok, going way out on a limb here – Splash?
Nope. I do need to include a mermaid in a comic at some point, though….
ummm.. Under the rainbow? starring Chevy Chase?:)
Last guess, Rollen Stewart.? 🙂
LOL! I just learned who Rollen Stewart is now!
Good one! But does the squirrel mannequin count as a slip-up in your squirrel ban?
Thanks! I think the comic itself has gotten lost in the movie guessing shuffle…
I really tried to make the mannequin not look like a squirrel, and kinda failed. Hell, it looks just like ES with a bust. Oh well, it’s just a dummy!
I think it’s your subconscious telling you it needs it’s squirel fix. They’ve become such a part of your life that you’re having side effects from the withdrawal!
You are probably right!
I tried, but I have blocked out the 80s most thoroughly. Its really just as well…..
You gotta do what you gotta do! That should make my nostalgia posts more educational for you then!
I love the look of horror on Odyssey’s face!
Extra marks for use of the word “kitteh” 🙂
Munch would be proud!
And yes, you never hear the word kitteh when used in that context!
OK! We have a 1980 movie starring two guys who previously starred in a TV series?
Made by HBO and a scene saw one of them in a rainbow afro while the other looked at
“adult” literature? we need one more clue! 🙂
