It’s time to take you along while I slide on down the world sharing thing we do each Tuesday with the questions supplied by Melanie. The Share Your World graphics department is working lots of unpaid overtime with yet another new logo… this one apparently paying homage to the Hubble Telescope, or at least what the images it provided us would have looked like if it had a better lens than my shitty camera does…
What social stigma does society need to get over already?
The fear and hatred of those who choose to feed squirrels. I can’t count how many cashiers, including a few co-workers, have given me the evil eye as they ring up my nag of squirrel corn with disgust. Feeding birds is fine and dandy and beautiful and holy and all that shit. Feeding the squirrels makes you a shithole anti-American communist. Pick up a bag of squirrel corn and try taking it through the register…. you’ll see what I mean.
What was the last photo you took?
Technically, it was this photo that closed out last week’s Shelf Critter Theatre episode with a bad Star Wars gag…
Ignoring the images I snapped for that story, then the last photo I took was on Thursday of this gift that I gave my Mom for Mother’s Day….
Mom just moved into a new place, and it desperately needed a unicorn to liven up the joint. BTW, can you tell from this photo that after several years of being manhandled and posed for your entertainment that Mitzi’s looking a bit worse for wear. Poor girl’s gotten quite dingy… and not just from the dirty deeds she does dirt cheap.
When was the last time you snooped and found something or found out something you wish you hadn’t?
I’m a champion snooper and I honestly couldn’t tell you when the last time was… or recall anything specific where I found out something interesting (I find that about 90% of the time, snooping is a huge waste of time). I knew where my oldest sister used to stash her love notes from school. Yeah, I read them. Geez, what kind of annoying brother would I be if I didn’t?
What’s the most comfortable bed or chair you’ve ever slept in?
I tend not to find any beds to be particularly comfortable. I’m at least used to the one I sleep in at home. Hotel beds are the fucking devil. I never sleep well in hotels, and I think it’s because the maids are trained to tuck in the sheets so far that you’d need the jaws of life to extract them from underneath the mattress. I tend to look down on people believe it’s some kind of necessity to make the bed every morning, and I think it’s because I hate made beds period. Untuck those damned sheets!!! How does anyone find it comfortable to slip their body into a sardine can like that?
Can being grateful change Your World?
Not mine. The touchy feely stuff does nothing to change how I see and experience the world (And personal attitude does nothing to change the world itself… don’t fall for that one, folks!). That isn’t to say an attitude of gratitude might not make others enjoy their world more…
