Last week’s storm wasn’t much of an event, particularly from a snow standpoint, but this week’s tempest has been a different story. It snowed the entire time I was at work last night, and is still snowing now, with around 3 inches of accumulation already and maybe a couple more to come before it ends. This is a wet, clingy snow that has turned everything that couldn’t seek cover white… and it looks very pretty outside! Most creatures would stay indoors on a snowy Saturday morning like this, but this little guy just had to get a better look at Mother Nature’s frozen wonder a few minutes ago by climbing up on the tire underneath my neighbor’s boat. For braving the elements on a day with such pretty scenery, he gets the honor of becoming an instant Saturday Squirrel!
Don’t stay out in this frigid weather too long, my friend! Even with that fur coat, you’ll catch pneumonia…
Have a great weekend… and stay warm!!!
Driving in snow sucks.
Yeah, I got that joy this morning. And I only came across one yahoo who thought his 4 wheel drive made him invulnerable to sliding in the snow. Luckily, I was still a good distance away from him when he slid about 20 feet sideways trying to get onto Meccas parking lot at normal speed…
The squirrel looks tired. Or is it the tire looks squirreled?
We haven’t had any snow here yet, but enough sleet and freezing rain to cause a mess. Of course, by the end of the week it will be 60 degrees again.
Yeah, I’ve heard that about the weather in your neck of the woods. Our March snowstorms will be like that, but alas, in December, snow just means we’re not warming back up anytime soon….
I hate driving in this stuff!!!
But it’s so much fun to creep along as 20 mph down the road through slushy snow! 🙂 At least we aren’t from the South where this would have caused the apocalypse!
Squirrelnuts roasting by an open fire…
Jackass nipping at your nose… 😉
Ouch! 🙂
Aww ! rain or shine, snow or sleet he doesn’t ever fail to honour your lens !! especially on a Saturday 😉 poor guy, his tail seems wet and its just a matter of time before he catches pneumonia !
My squirrels are weird…. they seem to love bad weather almost as much as they do good weather. Or, maybe they just enjoy the exposure they get here!
What some squirrels will do for a chance at stardom! Brrrr!
But it will be well worth it when he gets his own reality show! 🙂
The poor little fellow is looking a bit bedraggled!
No snow here yet – in fact the temperature has shot up to 13 degrees today, so we don’t even really need the heating on! It’s usually at least close to freezing by now Weird.
I had to do a double take when I read that, and remember that you are on the C scale! 13 degrees is quite nippy here in the land of Fahrenheit! 🙂
Ah, right! I remember Fahrenheit from when I was little, 13F would be significantly below freezing I seem to recall, probably around -10C or so. Brrr 🙂
That’s probably about right… I can only remember the boiling and freezing points in Celsius, and that both scales converge at -40…
