That’s right… it’s almost everyone’s favorite day of the year again! Every year, January 21st is National Squirrel Appreciation Day! A day we set aside to honor our little outdoor furry critters and all of the joy and excitement they bring into our outdoor environment. Make sure to put some special treats out for your squirrels this week to let them know not only that you care about them, but that you appreciate their beauty and their hilarious antics. You will make little fuzzy friends for life! Just look how excited our Saturday Squirrels are this week at the prospect of getting fed loved!

The last time I saw a movie in a theater, the sound was all supplied by an organ player. I am happy to see squirrels getting some Hollywood exposure, though, so long as it doesn’t go to their tiny heads…

I don’t think the squirrels will be out to be appreciated today – it’s freakin cold. I’d like to know who keeps ordering this below zero weather because I didn’t!
Yeah, it got bad here too. The temperature dropped 30 degrees overnight, and we’re back in the freezer again all week. yay….
Was it an extra special day for the squirrels and you? I did include this on my January Calendar and hope to remember it next year, too! Thanks for the fun and laughter here! I think that the squirrels were not too happy with the weather but they still liked the peanuts one of my apt. building residents left out!
