Zima! High school memories LOL
The Sprite of beers….. ahhhh…..
Remember when Sprite was the cheap alternative to 7-Up? Good times.
I remember when 7 Up and Sprite were pretty much interchangeable. Then 7 Up went “all natural” about 10 years ago, and I haven’t been able to stand it since. I do love my Sprite when I need a break from the Pepsi…
At least 7-Up had a Gameboy Game. Sprite wasn’t so cool then.
(yes, I had the damn game)
wow, bet the interest for 20 years are gigantic :o)
You ain’t kidding. Buster will probably have to knock over a bank…. or an oak tree.
I would prefer the oak tree, to knock over a bank could be a losing bargain because of the gas price for the getaway car…
That’s true. And your driver might get a ticket for idling in front of the bank…
OMP (OH MY PIGS!) I love this cartoon… not only does it bring back memories to mom of Zima which are hilarious I might add but I also see something really familiar – a little oinker! SCORE! Thanks my sweet friend! XOXO – Bacon
Oh, there’s someone familiar in there? Why, I didn’t notice! 😉
And you are on the wall and not the dartboard, so I guess it’s all good!
Thank goodness for that – snorts! Thanks my friend. That made my piggy day! XOXO – Bacon
Reblogged this on Piglove and commented:
Guess who made it in Evil Squirrel’s Nest Comic this week…. cough oink squeal snort. XOXO – Bacon
LOL love it! I’m going to be looking for the daily reads from today on 🙂
Woohoo! The comic is drawn weekly, but I do have other fun stuff about 5 days a week here!
Swinging on over! 😀
How do you hang a bowl of chileh on the wall??
Very, very carefully….
Why Bacon what you doin hangin out in a bar 🙂 and what on earth is Zima for us Down Under folk ? hahaha 🙂
Zima is the drink that tried to make the 90’s lame in the US!
Bwahahaahahah good grief I clearly remember the clear beverage craze here….massive flop….as for the ads ..sheesh lame is universal it seems hahahaha 🙂
Bahahaha. But wait… I recognize some of those famous pictures on the wall. There is an armadillo too. This is funny but the armadillo (or is it a pigadillo) makes it perfect.
A sleeping pigladillo makes any scene a little cuter! The last year’s worth of comics are sprinkled with about 10 of the conked out little lepers….
Hodge: “I’ll take an Acorn Ale, barkeep.”
Podge: “Mr. Bernard, could you kindly pour me a mug of your finest Nut Brown Ale?”
Hodge: “You’ll have to excuse her, Bernard. She likes to pretend she’s too fancy for bars.”
Podge: “Wipe your face, Hodge. You’ve got a beer mustache.”
LOL! Ye Olde Tavern of The Nest has drinks for the sophisticated, and the…. well, not so sophisticated! 🙂
I don’t care what anyone says, I loved Zima. Smooth.
Perhaps you could pay for Buster’s then…
Sure…just no touchy.
I agree with Mer, I used to love Zima. Way back then…..
I wish we could get some bff, and then get totes sauced!
Then everyone would have to look out! lol Fibro or no, we’d be bustin’ a move. Good ol’ Zima.
We might break something, but who gives a flying fuck? Woot!
It would be funny if Zima came back in a wave of 90’s nostalgia that, per the 20 year rule, is due to start any time now. I would feel like I should take credit for it….
Yes…bring back Zima! I will sign your petition.
Just nosy, but how long does it take you to create a 6 panel strip like this one? I’m incredibly impressed!
The average time is about 3.5 to 4 hours, from first pencil to paper to the final stroke in Photoshop (And that’s removing the times I get distracted while creating it… which always seems to happen!)… this weekly grind can be a bit grueling sometimes, but the result is almost always worth the effort!
I did a post a while back describing the process that goes into making one of my comics that you might enjoy… complete with my usual good sense of self depreciating humor!
Read the article from January and I’m STILL impressed. Before there was Photoshop … well, I hate to even think of our primitive tools. Great going, really. And what gorgeous cat 🙂
out did yourself! Loved it!
