This blog makes me wanna heave!
Longtime readers of The Nest know I sprinkle my posts with a liberal dose of self depreciation… often referring to my content with words that would have left the bad taste of soap in your mouth had your mother caught you using them. Anyone who casts as many 
mocking and sarcastic stones as I do should never be afraid to throw twice as many through their own glass house. But there is one feature on my blog that I can’t even pretend to throw under the bus, and that is my Saturday Squirrel series! Poorly drawn comics, bizarre prompts, killer earworms and chronic possum carnage can be an acquired taste, but everyone loves cute pictures of squirrels!
This post is unofficially my 200th Saturday Squirrel post, with the wishy-washy designation coming because I used the category tag somewhat erratically whenever I posted a squirrel photo at first. The series was mainly a dumping ground for sciurine pictures during its early days, but over time it evolved into more of an educational and entertaining feature as well, and sometimes a mix of both.
One thing it has definitely accomplished…. it has long made my readers smile!

I never get tired of cute squirrel pix so keep ’em coming……..they are entertaining little critters. I think the squirrel in that first photo is just giving his butt a good scratch. A guy’s gotta do what a guy’s gotta do after all!

I see squirrels a dozen times a day and still with every Saturday Squirrel picture I’m like “OMG – so cute!” I love that last one. It looks like it was so curious about you!
That’s one of Wilson’s buddies from the park… they’re always puzzled by why I follow them around and take pictures of them! And I’m sure the people at the park wonder the same thing!
