It’s Saturday, so it’s once again squirrel picture time!!!! YAY!!!
Here are some more pictures from the same batch that produced the Who Me? Squirrel a couple weeks ago. Since the squirrels that morning were traversing from yard to yard, they were using their favorite mode of transportation, the utility wires that run along the ditch in my subdivision. Of the dozen or so pics I got of squirrels showing off their death defying tightrope acrobatics, here are my favorites. As always, you can click on any picture to view it at its full size and resolution….
Gotta love squirrel pictures!
I’m almost done with the commissions I’ve been working on, so hopefully sometime this coming week I’ll be back to posting more of my oddball stuff that tickles your bushy tails. Hopefully that will include my official acceptance of the award gentlestiches bestowed on me last week! Catch you all later!
i will get those squirrels. i will. one day. just you wait…
I’m waiting……. here kitty kitty! (evil grin)
Squirrels on a Wire. Cirque de Squirrels. Great shots.
Thank you!
I can see where the inspiration for “Rocky and Bullwinkle” came from!
Sweet squirrels! I like the wire-to-tree transfer; that trick is always iffy. Most of the time it’s good to go, but every so often a missed branch will result in a dumped squirrel. The fall doesn’t seem to hurt us much though!
I’ve always pictured squirrels like Pee Wee Herman falling off his bike. They just get up, dust themselves off, and proclaim, “I meant to do that!”
LOL!! I can remember that show from being a very young squirrel!!! =)
Power lines are sasquatches highways too
I’ll be on the lookout for any sasquatches tiptoeing on the lines. I hear they like beef jerky….
Love these! It reminds me of a squirrel (or perhaps squirrels — it’s kind of hard to tell if it was the same one or not) that my daughter and I used to see on our way to her school every morning. He would cross over a busy street using a utility wire. Every morning, we would see him heading in one direction. Then, in the afternoons (on our way home from school), we would see him coming back. My daughter used to laugh and say that he was going to work in the mornings and coming home from work in the afternoon / evening.
LOL! Thanks for sharing that cute story!
You’re welcome! The funny part (or perhaps sad, in a way …) is that, once we didn’t see the squirrel for a couple of weeks. And my daughter said: “Hmmm. I wonder if he got laid off of his job.” Ah. The times we live in. >.O
