Today’s guest Saturday Squirrel photos come from the one and only Jennifer Olivarez of the amazing Squirrel Picnic blog! Like me, and anyone else who would dedicate a blog to squirrels, Jennifer enjoys feeding the hungry little critters that visit her balcony. While squirrels all across the country are having to put up with harsh winter conditions this year, the handsome fox squirrel above is a genuine Colorado squirrel, and should be quite used to these conditions by now!
This flaky squirrel even looks adorable from the back side!
I’d like to thank this cold cutie for being this week’s Saturday Squirrel, and another round of thanks to Jennifer for sending me the photos and permitting me to use them in my weekly squirrel picture feature! If you know a squirrel who is just bucking for a bit of Saturday Squirrel fame, get some shots of him and send the pictures to my email address in the Contact Me page under my blog header!
And as always, have a warm and cozy weekend!
He looks so cute and cuddly…and cold. Poor fella.
Yep… that’s a harsh way to have to live, but at least he’s got a good fur coat…
Yeah, people would kill for a coat like that…
Luckily, he wears a size too small for just about everyone! 🙂
Too cute!
Yes he is!
How did she get so close up and personal? Wow, awesome pics!!
Probably a good camera. I have some amazing closeups from my new camera that are almost freakishly invasive! My squirrels must think I’m with the NSA…
What a beautiful little squirrel. What a wonderful eye Jennifer has – wonderful photographs. Thank you so much for sharing these.
You are welcome!
This is so appropriate because I spent 2 hours (before I saw this post!) writing about a Picnic with my friends. I nominated you for a Sunshine Award! Take care and Congrats! Great minds think alike! Robin
Thank you! I’ll try catching up on all the posts I’ve missed the last couple days tomorrow morning,..
I’m such a sucker for the squirrels! The water dish I have outdoors freezes over night and so I find myself pouring a pitcher of hot water over it in the morning so the animals have something to drink. I figure since I get so much joy watching them scurry about, the least I can do is provide the water! Cute post!
When we had the drought a couple summers ago, I swiped the birdbath out of my neighbor’s yard (they had moved out the year before and left it) and kept it filled for them. Now, it is a skating rink with how cold the temps have been!
Birdbath score! Yay! A pitcher of hot water a day! The birds will even thank you. 😀
Thanks alot!!!
Isn’t that such a wonderful earw…. er, song!!! 😉
Hey, I know that squirrel! Thanks so much for featuring him on your blog. I’ll give him some extra nuts today to help him celebrate his newfound fame. 🙂
Woohoo!!!! Hopefully all that fame and fortune doesn’t go to his head and he starts acting like Justin Bieber Squirrel now….
What a lovely squirrel and wonderful pics. We wont have any trouble staying warm on dinkum island . It was over 100 degrees today. 🙂
LOL! That is about 100 degrees warmer than it is here this morning!
