Let’s go on another trip through The Nest’s local park watching the squirrels so that all of the cool people can laugh at us and call the cops. Trip #15 took place on the morning of Thursday September 27, 2018… and is an even smaller batch of photos than last week’s summer trip. Only six of the pics I took this day have ever been seen on my blog before, so let’s give the squirrels I encountered a bit more exposure so that it will have seemed like less of a waste of time…
In case you couldn’t see this squirrel and his nut, the sun has kindly illuminated him for you…
Epic ear notch…
There’s nothing wrong with eating your greens…
Hey, no need to cop an attitude with me, buddy. You only get privacy in your nest…
Squirrel playing with sticks…
Well, aren’t you just cute?
Donkey kick!
Nice backdrop. But about a month too early for those leaves to be pretty colors…
Dammit! Stop calling me that!
That stump looks like it would make a nice home for a squirrel family…
Another handsome squirrel profile…
Arrrrrrghhhhh!!!!!
That squirrel on the right seems to be itching for a chase…
Check out this squirrel’s ears! They’re really modded out…
Alright, you can quit hiding now. The squirrel pervert is leaving. Sheesh…
But I shall return next Tuesday with the best of my first trip of 2019!
the ear squirrel is the best… is it from outer space? it looks very promising ;O)
I can imagine squirrels hopping from planet to planet now…
The squirrel with the double notched ears is a scream! He looks like he has “mini-antlers” !! Perhaps your first sighting of a deer-squirrel??????
Pam
And to think Santa was just recruiting new “squirreldeer” in my last SCT episode! I hope he knows how to fly…
Oh those squirrely, fluffy tailed animals are too cute for words. Unless your River, then those red squirrels are plotting something.
I have yet to come across any red squirrels around here, though that doesn’t mean none of the greys are plotting as well. The reds are a sassy bunch and can get away with more trouble, though….
Is this park called Squirrel Park? A high population of squirrels live there. A tidy park with many a furry face,
Shoko
The park has a healthy population of squirrels. If I went there at night, I could probably meet much of the rest of its population of possums, raccoons and skunks…
Another fine collection of hoodlums, er I mean adorable critters. 🐿
Since that is a written oral comment, those hoodl…. er, squirrels will have you sued for both slander and libel!
Oh contraire, you can’t sue for libel when it’s truthful. 😈
YOU CAN’T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!!!!
Bwahahahaha! Probably not. 😇
There was apparently something in the air that day. A few of those squirrels look downright feisty! Ready to rumble. I know I wouldn’t care to meet them in a dark park late at night…..
They’ve thrown nuts as me from high up in trees before. I feel very much like an embedded journalist in a warzone when I take these photos…
Nice group. Love playing with sticks and his peek a boo shot.
👍
It is so cute when they pay with sticks. I once wrote an entire army themed post around a bunch of pictures I took of a squirrel in my yard playing with sticks…
Cute bunch! That one with the “epic ear notch”, it looks like a little axe or scythe. I bet they call him “Old Hatchet Ear” and speak of him in hushed tones down the “Squirrel and Acorn” pub…
Hushed tones indeed, since you do not want to incur the wrath of Old Hatchet Ear…
I needed this overdose of cuteness today. Thanks ES
It’s prevert!
